"...there
is one more piece that I would like to mention from TAD Gear
www.tadgear.com . I don’t know
the whole story here but TAD is a small outfit out of San Fran
and they make small runs of some pretty nice jackets. They have
some cool pieces from what I can see on their website and a lot
of it is aimed at the Spec Ops community and the ultra chic
urban coffee commando. The one piece I have from them is the
Predator Hardshell[v1.0 ] which comes in Multi
Environment Green. This is a beautiful jacket with an unknown
waterproof breathable that has an attention to detail and
quality that is right up there with Arc’teryx. Really. I have
not put it through the complete torture test but so far it has
done very well and I expect it to pass with flying colors. I
mention these guys because I want companies like this to
prosper, they bring creativity and a much needed commitment,
passion and an anal retentive obsessive compulsive drive to the
market that pushes everybody. I wish them luck...."

breathable fabrics. In a key partnership with GE, TAD
Gear was selected to use and feature their brand new line of
technical fabrics from their Professional Line. The eVent family of fabrics are the highest performance 3 layers
on the planet. GE's event Professional Division pushes
the envelope even further with a line which is created
specifically for the hardest use environments and
individuals. Developed specifically for combat and law
enforcement, the eVent Professional Line is the longest
wearing, most breathable, waterproof 3 layer fabrics bar
none. Using advanced eptfe membrane laminates, event
out breaths any other high end ptfe laminate currently
available. There is NO more advanced 3 layer
waterproof breathable fabric on the market.
This generation Predator Hardshell features not only the
eVent ProLine fabric, but also is constructed with a
strategic blend of field proven traditional stitching
methods and Bemis "welded" elements for a superlative
garment unmatched in its class. This generation's
fit
is refined again and offers less bulk, easier compression
for packing, and comfort for the user.
