Work Shirt Short Sleeve - Sanded Cotton Twill
An evolution of classic American workwear
The heritage of American workwear is based on a stripped down, no-nonsense approach to functional apparel. The design of our Work Shirt Short Sleeve is rooted in the World War II USMC-issued Dungaree shirt and the shirts later worn by men in post-war factories and mechanic shops. The beauty of this style lies in its clean lined simplicity, comfort and durable craftsmanship.
This is no exact replica, however. We upgraded the classic 100% cotton twill fabric giving ours a sanded finish that’s incredibly comfortable and lends a subtle, sueded appearance. The taped slotted buttons are a far more secure alternative to stitched buttons, holding fast even if they catch on something while you’re tinkering in your shop.
With its square tail, the Work Shirt Short Sleeve was meant to be worn untucked. Layer it with a t-shirt or our Waffle Base Layer Top. It goes perfectly with our Spartan Pant, TAD’s take on the classic Chino (coming out later this season). Top it with the Vanguard Jacket, and you’re good to go.
Note: If you are between sizes, we recommend you order the larger size due to the natural shrinkage that will occur from laundering this 100% cotton shirt. Fit
