With an eye towards ergonomics, the Valkyrie is made with a single underarm panel that runs from cuff to hem, giving you the freedom of movement to navigate any adventure with ease. With streamlined contours through the torso, the Valkyrie also avoids the bulkiness that happens when performance apparel is clumsily adapted for women from men's pieces. The result is a cross-functional jacket that you can rely on during an Autumn day’s four-pitch climb–or wear as a stylish casual piece at a sidewalk cafe. Mid-layer to outer layer flexibility Made with DWR-treated Polartec® WindPro®, the Valkyrie works effectively as an outer layer in wide ranging conditions–blocking four times as much wind as a traditional fleece. Cut with an Active Fit and outfitted with thumbholes, the Valkyrie is easy to layer under a shell when additional weather protection is needed. The half-mitt size of the thumbhole cuff extends generously to cover the palm, warming your hands when you need to keep them free of gloves. Intelligently placed storage We designed our pocket system so you could easily access your gear while wearing a pack. The array of five pockets is strategically placed to provide ready, ambidextrous access to essential equipment. The hand warmer and upper arm pockets include D-rings to tether your gear with a retractable gearkeeper, making it easy to use and retain your keys, flashlight or multitool. Comfort Beyond the inherently comfortable feel of fleece, the Valkyrie maintains breathability while blocking wind, ideal for cold weather physical activities. It's made with the heaviest weight Polartec WindPro available, keeping you warm all winter long while reducing the need for additional layering.
